Services

Our location in a state-of-the-art hospital means we’re fully equipped to handle any emergency. We have access to an extensive array of blood tests as well as radiography and ultrasound.

If your pet requires emergency surgery, intravenous fluids, oxygen or other emergency treatments, we’re on hand to provide it. We even have a supply of blood transfusion products and special antidotes to toxins. We can make these available to your everyday vet upon request.

Hospitalisation

Due to our comprehensive facilities and cutting-edge equipment, you can be assured that if your pet requires hospitalisation, they’ll receive the best possible round-the-clock care in our Brighton hospital. Having these important technologies in-house enables faster diagnosis and treatment for your pet. Our patients also benefit from separate dog and cat wards, reducing the stress of their stay.

What to do in an emergency

We know it can be difficult to remain calm when your pet is suddenly ill or injured. We’re always available for advice over the phone to help you determine whether or not you need to bring your pet in to see us.

As a careful pet owner, a bit of preparation goes a long way, which is why we’ve put together this helpful to-do list, ensuring you’re prepared for any potential emergency.

  • Have the P.E.T.S. phone number programmed into your phone: 01273 566993
  • Be familiar with the location of the Brighton hospital where our P.E.T.S. team is based
  • Ensure you have details to hand of any medication your pet is on and any long-term conditions they have
  • Make provision for transporting your pet to the hospital in an emergency – bearing in mind this could occur at any time of day or night
