The Brighton Clinic is situated within New Priory Vets’ state-of-the-art hospital in central Brighton. It provides a comprehensive range of general practice veterinary services including medicine, surgery, radiography, ultrasound and dentistry. Here, many of your pet’s needs can also be met through one of our extensive nursing clinics.

In addition to the routine and preventative services other general practitioners may offer, we’re able to run extensive diagnostic testing in-house, enabling faster diagnosis and treatment for your pet. We are proud to have achieved the highest level of RCVS accreditation – the hospital facilities in which the Brighton Clinic operates are second to none in Sussex.

The Brighton Clinic consultation times are:

Brighton hospital: Monday to Friday appointments are available from 8am to 6.00pm and on Saturday between 8am to noon.

*We also have a 24 hour dedicated emergency service, Priory Emergency Treatment Services (P.E.T.S.) that takes over out-of-hours.

Brighton Clinic facilities include:

  • In house laboratory – we can run a variety of tests immediately, day or night
  • Radiography, ultrasonography and CT – comprehensive diagnostic imaging to aid diagnosis of complicated conditions
  • Endoscopy and laparoscopy – a way of looking inside the body with a camera, and performing minimally-invasive keyhole surgery
  • A preparation area alongside two dedicated operating theatres for sterile surgeries
  • Dental facilities including dental x-rays
  • An on-site pharmacy
  • Isolation – separate facilities for pets who may be infectious to remove the risk from our other patients
  • Separate dog and cat wards – ensuring your pets are as relaxed as possible during their stay
  • Dedicated management, administration and finance teams alongside the latest veterinary database and IT solutions
  • Out of hours care – a dedicated on-site emergency service, Priory Emergency Treatment Service (P.E.T.S.)

We are proud members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons’ (RCVS) Practice Standards Scheme. The accreditations awarded are only given to practices that meet the high standards set by the RCVS and appropriate accreditation is the primary indicator of clinical excellence.

 

The Brighton Clinic provides an advanced level of general practice care. Based within the accredited hospital, the clinic benefits from the hospital’s highest level of RCVS accreditation: Small Animal Hospital status.

Priory Emergency Treatment Services (P.E.T.S.) is delivered by our team of dedicated out-of-hours emergency care vets and nurses operating from the New Priory Vets’ state-of-the-art flagship Brighton hospital. This highly experienced and reliable team provide continuity of care from day through to night for New Priory Vets’ clients and those of several surrounding practices.

 

  • Available 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Accredited as an RCVS Emergency Services Clinic
  • Provides a wide range of treatment including emergency surgery, kennel-side multiparameter monitoring, blood transfusion products and specific antidotes to toxins

Vet Referrals

Brighton Veterinary Referrals is the Sussex centre of choice for other vets looking to refer patients that need specialist care. Our location in New Priory Vets’ state-of-the-art Brighton hospital ensures referral patients benefit holistically from immediate proximity to its on-site emergency service and overnight hospitalisation facilities. We currently accept referrals in:

 

  • Diagnostic imaging (including outpatient orthopaedic CT)
  • Cardiorespiratory Medicine
  • Laparoscopy
  • Internal Medicine

 

We also coordinate referrals with trusted visiting consultants in dermatology, ophthalmology and feline medicine.
